Medical Coding and Transcription courses introduce students to the International Classification of Diseases, Clinical Modification (ICD-10) and its system of hospital codes for Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) diagnoses and procedures. These courses provide opportunities for students to practice and develop skills in the use of transcription equipment and to gain familiarity with common formats of medical terminology and reports.
