Are you a Junior or Senior in High School looking for opportunities to build your employability skills outside of the classroom? Explore CORE is YOUR opportunity to immerse yourself into the pathways identified by local business, community and education leaders as high-skill, high-demand career areas in the regional economy.
The course is divided into skill development, from resume writing and mock interviews to practicing staff negotiations. Our partner businesses visit the class or we go to them to get a better idea of how area companies impact the region.

Explore CORE
Fall 2024 or Spring 2025
This course introduces students to local occupational opportunities in Agriculture, Health Care, Information Technology, Manufacturing, and Transportation while providing them with opportunities to develop employability skills. The first six weeks are classroom oriented, followed by ten weeks of in field experience with business partners. This is a one semester course, available in both fall and spring.
